This monthly infographic update shows the evolutions in Cronycle Topics and Expertise Network for November 2021. While we update our Topic index on a monthly basis, this special edition also presents intelligence data visualization within Cronycle.
What is a Cronycle Topic?
A Cronycle topic is a smart aggregation of information combining artificial intelligence and human expertise. Cronycle analyzes content from millions of online sources identified by our expertise network, builds out semantics, and surfaces information relevant to each Topic. Cronycle subscribers leverage the world’s top authorities with relevance-based scoring on 80,000+ topics, combined with industry-leading AI that scales the curation of human intelligence. Learn more.
Topics are used for industry intelligence, secondary research for product innovation and strategy, and content marketing.
New! – Intelligence data visualization to explore Topics
Market disruptions often originate in other sectors. Cronycle keeps you informed by scanning adjacent topics and tuning proximity models using neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and machine learning. Now within Cronycle, or with this public sample, you can explore related Topics to discover adjacent subjects and navigate knowledge fields.
In addition, top locations for expert influencers are listed with a map, making it easier to identify high expertise locations and to help understand possible bias related to cultural expressions in our semantics. On this last point, you can suggest alternate forms and translations for Topics using the form at this link.
When you navigate to the content tab for a Topic, another data visualization shows the volume of content published per day vs. the number of shares by the Cronycle Expertise Network:
For professional fields like the example of Artificial Intelligence used here, the weekend drop in shares is very noticeable. So is Thanksgiving – not surprising as half of the top locations are in the US. Despite some peaks in specific periods like June, where a lot of information was shared, the volume of content is pretty stable outside the weekend drop. Other Topics show clear seasonal or occasional trends.

- 91,792 Terms in total, including locations, events, and alternate forms
What are event Topics?
The Cronycle Expertise Network helps us identify the communities surrounding approximately 40k+ Topics. In addition, Cronycle is able to capture Event Topics for those one-off events that do not have an ongoing, representative community.
This month, we have added 939 new Topics. We’ve continued to add translations to the Cronycle Topic graph, so you can surface relevant content from the global community without having to search in multiple languages.
Why add new Topics?
We create new Topics when our system identifies emerging subjects, when new topics are specifically requested by our customers, or to improve the clarity of our results.
What is the Cronycle Expertise Network?
When it comes to looking for specific information, it’s best to seek out sources that have the most knowledge, expertise and experience on the given topic. Many of these experts connect together in loose topical communities, and are constantly being monitored by their peers. Cronycle uses these interactions to identify influencers and communities that make up the Cronycle Expertise Network. Learn more.
